Just arrived in the big city, country bumpkin João Miguel takes a job in a dive bar, where he soon discovers a genuine talent for cooking. Moving on to better work as a chef, he falls hard for Fabiula Nascimento, a full-figured prostitute who loves his cooking. But this story cross-cuts with Miguel’s present life in prison, where Miguel must use his culinary talents just to survive in the brutal hierarchy. Was it a crime of passion that landed him there?
