PRESS RELEASE
Ernesto has retreated into a limbo of his own creation; estranged from his family after the death of his mother, he has dropped out of medical school and is living out of his car. He bounces from one embassy to the next interviewing for exit visas, each time tinkering with his presentation in an effort to seem more convincing. But just when he thinks he’s close to getting a visa, he realizes that he may have feelings for his friend Anita that make her more than just a friend. Directorial debut from screenwriter Alejandro Brugués, a “poignant romance about the price of freedom, the power of sacrifice and the meaning of happiness.”—2008 Miami Film Festival.
